Kushan Tyagi, of Ames, scored 6.0/7 at the National K-6 Championships held in Pennsylvania last weekend. Tyagi, in 5th grade, defeated a 1600-rated player in the final round to secure a tie for third place. He took home the 37-inch tall 6th place trophy on tiebreaks. Kushan's rating increased nearly...
